Ideally situated on the village's magnificent limestone plateau, source of some of the world's greatest winemaking achievements, Clos Fourtet continues its ascent towards the stars. With biodynamic viticulture at the heart of the estate, Clos Fourtet has reinforced the purity of its fruit and the fullness of its constitution. Today, it is unquestionably one of the pinnacles of Saint-Emilion. What class in this new vintage!
Rated 97+/100 by Olivier Poussier, this 2023 is astoundingly sensual! Ripe and fresh, of course, and as always, the wine stands out for its precision and depth. In this kind of low-alcohol vintage, the terroir is well asserted, the fruit just right, with a fine management of the woody notes and the trace of limestone. The wine is stretched out, fleshy, full-bodied, with magnificent length, very graceful, carried by freshness and an incredible chalky, saline sensation.
Clos Fourtet 2023 is at its peak! It's undeniably one of Saint-Emilion's finest success stories!
