The 2020 Red Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Île des Vergelesses has the depth and structure of a great ageing wine. Still young, it reveals ripe fruit aromas, with notes of blood orange and red berries. Harvested by hand. Whole-harvest, sulfite-free fermentation in concrete and wooden truncated-cone tanks for 15 days to 3 weeks. Aged on lees for 15 to 18 months in 228-liter oak barrels.
