Wine:

Simply superb! The 2019 Red Gevrey-Chambertin exudes the whole harvest with a touch of candied orange peel, a fine and pure nose with elegant oak, delicate floral notes, ripe cherry, and black fruit. The structure is graceful, easy to drink, not very concentrated, both broad and persistent. It's a Gevrey of great finesse, well-crafted and very flavorful, ideal for a whole meal. Rated 94/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, whole-cluster fermentation for 2 weeks.
Aged 14 to 18 months in oak barrels.

Color:

Intense ruby red.

Nose:

Delicate floral fragrances underscored by notes of cherry and black fruit.

Palate:

Fine and tasty, with full-bodied fruit, this sapid, low-concentration cuvée delivers a long-lasting, sapid juice.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Sautéed veal, leg of lamb, beef bourguignon.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2029, and even longer for enthusiasts.
