Domaine David Duband - Echezeaux Grand Cru - Rouge - 2021

Wine:

Aromatic complexity, citrus and spice notes: the 2021 red Echézeaux Grand Cru is a soft, deep wine, distinguished and subtle, with lush body, floral and mellow amplitude, and a full-bodied, digestible finish. A monument to be treasured in the cellar!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. Vinification 80% whole grapes. 40% matured in new barrels, 60% in barrels aged 1, 2 or 3 years. After 14 months' ageing, the wines are racked into vats, rested for 3 months and bottled without filtration or fining.

Color:

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Gentle spicy notes underlined by citrus notes.

Palate:

Full-bodied and complex, with round aromas of fruit, this elegant cuvée offers deep, sapid, sweet juice and a full finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Veal medallions with foie gras, Rossini duck breast, lamb chops with thyme flower.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2033, and even longer for enthusiasts.
