From a southeast-facing terroir of white clay, the 2023 White Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux captures the very essence of the appellation. Its pure, refined, and delicate style is instantly appealing, with crisp, fresh fruit, a touch of salinity, and a beautifully mineral-driven character—a true reflection of its terroir. The lively, vibrant finish enhances its elegance, making this a stunning expression of place. A favourite of the Selection Committee, rated 94/100.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Light settling. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation and 8 months' ageing, 2/3 in vats and 1/3 in oak barrels, then blending and maturing in vats. Bottled 16 months after harvest.Certified organic wine.
