Powerful and generous, the 2022 Red Meursault Vieilles Vignes evokes the elegance of a fine Volnay, reflecting its neighbouring terroir and concentrated structure. The nose reveals warm, ripe Pinot Noir aromas, while the palate follows with a bold profile, layered in a tightly knit texture that retains remarkable freshness and finesse. Perfect for leisurely enjoyment over the next eight years, it has been awarded an impressive 93/100 by the Selection Committee.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Destemming, transfer to vats, fermentation in open vats for 25 to 30 days, cold pre-fermentation for 4 to 5 days, 1 punching of the cap and 2 pump-overs per day. Aged in oak barrels, 20% of which are new, for 12 months.Plot of 0.56 ha, planted from 1972 to 1995, clay-limestone soil.
