Wine:

2017 Red Volnay 1st Cru Les Mitants, expertly crafted by Thibaud Clerget, offers refinement, featuring a blend of black fruits and spices, with a hint of new oak. This wine, with its grand stature, imposing and powerful, allows the refinement of its grape variety and terroir to shine through. While already enjoyable today, it can be aged for another good ten years.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. Vineyard size: 16 ares. Vine age: 50 years. Terroir: clay-limestone. Aging for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Game terrine, slow-braised stew, roasted quail, tender beef cheek in red wine with baby potatoes, thick veal chop with sage.

Cellar aging:

From today and until 2032 and beyond for wine enthusiasts.
