Domaine d'Ardhuy - Clos Vougeot Grand Cru - Rouge - 2020

Wine:

The 2020 red Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is the archetype of a great Burgundy that is both ripe and concentrated, combining elegance and distinction. Extremely fine, it remains very pure, with a lovely infusion of wild raspberries and noble, perfectly managed oak. On the palate, the texture is silky and highly delicate. This is a wine to be savored and developed over ten years or more. Rated 95/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, totally destemmed, 12 to 14-day vatting period.
Free-run wine and first press are blended, settled and put into barrels. Aged in barrels, with 50% new wood, for 15 to 18 months.

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Fragrances of infused raspberry underscored by a noble woodiness.

Palate:

Silky and delicate, with full-bodied fruit, this elegant cuvée releases fine, pure juice.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Roast pigeon with French peas, sweetbreads with fois gras, tournedos Rossini, roast beef en croûte.

From now until 2033, and even longer for enthusiasts.
