Wine:

What freshness! The 2022 Red Mercurey Vieilles Vignes marvelously combines the concentration of the vintage, with ripe raspberry aromas in particular, a particularly well-adjusted oaky character and plenty of freshness. The generous structure, concentrated without excess, combined with a lovely vanilla note, forms a very seductive wine, capable of delighting for the next 5 to 6 years or more. The Committee's favorite.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, the proportion of destemmed and whole bunches varies according to the vintage.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (10% of which are new).

Color:

Bright, intense red with vermilion highlights.

Nose:

Beautiful raspberry notes, coated with hints of vanilla.

Palate:

Generous and concentrated with full-bodied fruit, this cuvée offers a seductive juice of great freshness and perfectly-adjusted oakiness.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Roast quail with cherries, rabbit à la forestière, red tuna steak.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.
