Wine:

This 2022 White Burgundy has captured the hearts of our Committee with a rating of 92+/100, showcasing impeccable craftsmanship. The wine's exceptionally pure nose reflects the perfect ripeness of the Chardonnay, highlighted by hints of nougat and floral notes, along with a well-balanced use of oak aging. The palate reveals a wine with fine, concentrated, and mature flavors, invigorated by a refreshing acidity. The wine's saline character, combined with its chalky minerality, joyfully extends the finish. This is a delightful expression of Burgundy's terroir.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, sorted on the vine, direct pneumatic pressing. Settling for 48 hours, with only 500-liter oak barrels (30% new) used for alcoholic fermentation.
Aged on coarse lees in new 500-liter barrels and 2-year-old 228-liter barrels for 11 months.

Color:

Brilliant gold, with good intensity.

Nose:

Very pure, perfect ripeness of the Chardonnay, present minerality, hints of nougat and flowers, much-appreciated sobriety of ageing.

Palate:

The juice is fine, concentrated, ripe and invigoratingly fresh. The saline aspect combined with the mineral chalkiness lengthens the persistence. A wonderful discovery!

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aperitif, charcuterie and cheese platter, seafood platter.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2028, and beyond for enthusiasts.
