Wine:

The 2022 red Pommard is an exquisite Pinot Noir, defined by its infused style and refreshing character, supported by well-integrated aging. Its texture follows this delicate profile, extending it with a certain density and a meaty aspect, all the while upheld by beautiful freshness, noble oak, elegant tannins, and a superb balance focusing on finesse. This Pommard leaves a savory, almost saline finish with notes of tart raspberry. It's a wine to be appreciated over the next 7 to 10 years and has been rated 94/100 by our Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, vinified in whole bunches, in open truncated-conical vats, in oak. Decanting and blending of grape juice and press juice.
Aged in 228-liter barrels (40% new), on coarse lees, no racking for 16 months, no filtration.

Color:

Dark, brilliant red with carmine highlights.

Nose:

Fine and infused, carried by notes of roses.

Palate:

Fresh and delicate with full-bodied fruit, this dense cuvée offers fleshy, balanced, fine juice.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Finely prepared red meats, veal liver, fondue bourguignonne, steak tartare, baked guinea fowl, game birds, venison stew, hard cheeses.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.
