Wine:

From stony soils located above the parcels of La Tâche and La Grande Rue, near Romanée and Romanée-Conti, the 2022 Red Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Champs Perdrix is the essence of silky, voluptuous Pinot Noir. It fully expresses ripe, fresh, and powdered fruit, absolutely delicious and inseparable from this prized terroir. The ripe and concentrated texture, both elegant and refined, with hints of fresh raspberries and a well-integrated noble oak, offers an almost perfect interpretation of Vosne. Extremely well-balanced, delicious, and convincing, this wine has an aging potential of eight to ten years. A benchmark for the appellation.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, daily pumping-over and light punching of the cap.
Malolactic fermentation in barrel, aged for 9 to 12 months in barrels, 20% of which are new.
