Domaine rated 1 star in the Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2024 (RVF)
Favorite wine rated 94/100 by our Committee!

Wine:

The 2022 white Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux develops exquisite breadth and depth, combining the maturity of the vintage with the complexity of its premier cru terroir. The nose is immediately appreciated for its assertive maturity, with a honeyed accent that complements the shell-like aspect of Chablis. The texture is well-defined, yet taut, precise and pure. A wine that rings true with its fine lemony length and excellent, incisive bitters. A Committee Favorite rated 94/100.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand. After light settling, the juice begins alcoholic fermentation in vats, then a quarter of the juice is racked into barrels. The juices undergo their alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, as well as aging on lees, separately. Blending takes place 9 months after harvest. The wine is bottled 16 months after harvest.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Bright pale yellow.

Nose:

A profile with assertive ripeness, a sunny aspect and a honeyed accent that complements the shell-like aspect of Chablis.

Palate:

This cuvée offers us a texture of fine relief, while retaining a taut, precise and refined aspect delivered by the chardonnay on limestone.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aperitif, baked fish, goat's cheese.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.
