Wine:

The Red 2014 Pommard Premier Cru Les Jarollières parcel is ideally located at the southern end of the Pommard appellation, bordering Volnay. In the glass, it reveals the full delicacy of a ten-year-old Pinot Noir, with a fine texture reminiscent of raspberries and well-integrated oak, making it beautifully approachable today. Its fine, velvety tannins and refreshing acidity create a harmonious balance, enhancing the wine’s aromatic complexity and depth, showcasing the potential of this exceptional terroir for aging. It pairs perfectly with poultry, rich sauces, or a well-aged St. Nectaire farmhouse cheese!

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged 18 months on fine lees in oak barrels, 30% of which are new.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16° C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Roast poultry, duck with grapes, sweetbreads with black truffles, Maine farm-raised prime rib with coarse salt, roast veal, Saint-Nectaire fermier affiné.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.

La Pousse d'Or is a remarkable estate, solidly established in Volnay and run by the Landanger family, which explores all the facets of Burgundy's sophistication. Its magnificent heritage of vines - 7 Grands Crus, 3 Monopoles, and 11 Premiers Crus - allows it to influence the entire Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

Biodynamic work, gentle vinification, and careful maturation on lees in barrels are the prerequisites for this success which are embodied in wines with evocative names, from Chambolle-Musigny to Pommard, including Volnay, of course, Puligny-Montrachet, Bonnes-Mares, Corton, Échezeaux or Morey-Saint-Denis.

With the highest standards, this prized address chisels goldsmith's wines supported by luxurious maturation that allows them to age for a long time.
