Dense and full of ripe fruit, the 2017 Red Pommard 1er Cru Les Jarollières is still in the early stages of its journey. Both refined and structured around solid yet balanced tannins, it delivers a fine expression of its terroir and will benefit from ageing.
La Pousse d'Or is a remarkable estate, solidly established in Volnay and run by the Landanger family, which explores all the facets of Burgundy's sophistication. Its magnificent heritage of vines - 7 Grands Crus, 3 Monopoles, and 11 Premiers Crus - allows it to influence the entire Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
Biodynamic work, gentle vinification, and careful maturation on lees in barrels are the prerequisites for this success which are embodied in wines with evocative names, from Chambolle-Musigny to Pommard, including Volnay, of course, Puligny-Montrachet, Bonnes-Mares, Corton, Échezeaux or Morey-Saint-Denis.
