Wine:

Produced from just under half a hectare of potent red soils, rich in iron oxide, and situated in a valley near the premier crus, the 2020 white Beaune is a magnificent Chardonnay characterized by freshness, tension, and roundness. This wine serves as an impressive introduction to the Maison's style, offering a full entry into the grandeur of Burgundy!

Vinification:

Hand harvested on August 28, 2020 on fruit day. Sorting in the vineyard and at reception in the winery. Whole grapes pressed in a pneumatic press, settling for 12 hours. Fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks and delicate in barrels. Aged 16 months in casks (16% new, origin of wood: Cîteaux), then 2 months in stainless steel tanks. Bâtonnage (stirring of the lees) once a month under a rising moon until December. Light filtration. Bottled on April 27, 2022, on sheet day. Limited run of 3998 bottles.
