Wine:

What a monument of complexity and style! The 2020 Red Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a unique and sensual character. A style and refinement that speaks volume of its terroir and of the Groffier wines!

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Old vines, clay-limestone soil. Partial destemming, cold maceration for about 7 days. Aged on lees in barrels for 18 months. No fining or filtration.

Color:

Bright ruby red.

Nose:

Aromas of black fruits mixed with spicy notes, licorice, smoky touches and accents of fresh soil

Palate:

Sensual and light with a great aromatic complexity, this wine reveals an incomparable refinement.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Red meat, game birds or furry animals, rack of lamb in a herb crust, beef ribs with marrow.

Cellar aging:

Ideally from 2025, until 2038 and more for the enthusiasts
