The 2018 red Douro Charme offers very delicate aromas of cherry and raspberry combined with notes of undergrowth. With great intensity, the palate delivers superb freshness and a very elegant structure with silky tannins. Perfectly controlled aging, with very little new wood, ensures subtle aromas throughout, leaving plenty of room for fruit. Born at an altitude of 350 meters on schist soils, from vines between 70 and 100 years old, this Douro impresses with its youth and freshness!Vinification:
Hand harvested. Whole harvest vinification, maceration and fermentation in barrels. Aged 15 months in French oak barrels (10% new).Residual sugar: 0.6g/l
