A cornerstone of the "Super Tuscan" movement, Tenuta San Guido is better known by the name of one of its cuvées, Sassicaia, which has forever changed the narrative of Italian wines. Ranking alongside Ornellaia, Solaia, and Ca'Marcanda, it now sits at the pinnacle of the global wine hierarchy.

The estate's owner, Nicolo Incisa della Rocchetta, a passionate Bordeaux lover, achieved the unthinkable in the early 1970s: he proved to the world that he could match the greatest Médocs. The first vintage to hit the market, 1968, thus began a lineage of dazzling cuvées dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, diverging from the prevailing wine styles of the time; and thus, a legend was born!
