A true pinnacle of the Loire Valley, Clos Rougeard is a name inseparable from the legacy of Charly and Nady Foucault — the visionary artisans behind its success. Pioneers of organic viticulture as early as the 1970s, the Foucault brothers showcased the full potential of Saumur-Champigny’s unique terroirs, proving their capacity to produce wines of extraordinary depth and longevity.
For wine enthusiasts, the name "Clos Rougeard" resonates like a perfectly tuned note — a masterful expression of Cabernet Franc grown on the region’s iconic soils of flint, limestone, and sand.

Now under the stewardship of the Bouygues family, the estate continues its tradition of excellence, with its wines as sought-after as ever.
