Today, more than ever, the Sancerre appellation is on a roll! The flagship of the Loire region, renowned for the geological richness and variety of its terroirs, ranging from white earth to caillottes and flint, the appellation is one of the most sought-after, famous, and envied worldwide, exporting two-thirds of its production.
The nuances of its soils are admirably suited to Sauvignon Blanc, and produce great Pinot Noirs (10% of volumes), which are serious alternatives to the great Burgundy today.
