Wine:

The 2020 white Muscadet Gaïa outclasses its category! An example of purity, ripe and mineral to perfection, this wine from a terroir of gabbro, a mineral-rich eruptive rock, aged in ovoid tanks, is like no other. Perfectly floral, with fine citrus notes, this wine finds a path of precision and energy that puts it on a par with the great Chablis... Frank, pure, saline, it develops a magnificent crystalline intensity against a background of iodine, right through to its extremely long, fresh finish. This is undoubtedly one of Muscadet's hottest wines today.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Natural vinification, no oenological products, no yeast, no enzymes, no cold. Aged on lees for 24 months in egg-shaped concrete vats. Bottled in August 2022.

Certified organic and biodynamic by Biodyvin.

A rugby player's build, an absolute and totally enthusiastic knowledge of the vine, " an epicurean ", an avant-gardist and, above all, a genius at his craft, that's how you can define Jérôme Bretaudeau.

He has achieved the feat of producing some of the finest Muscadet wines in the Loire Valley, and each new vintage is eagerly awaited by aficionados with an enthusiasm bordering on fanaticism.

For many years now, we've been swept away by each of his wines. Our sommeliers, Olivier Poussier and Christian Martray, have known him for a long time, and although we have a friendly relationship with the estate, it took a lot of patience to finally obtain an allocation that we are happy to offer you today.
