AWARDS

A wine rated 93/100 by our Committee!

Wine:

From south-facing old vines planted in 1940 on the Vergisson terroir, the 2023 White Pouilly-Fuissé gains an undeniable extra dimension. Aged for a year in barrels, it beautifully captures the ripe character of the harvest, with a dominant minerality, a hint of creamy vanilla, and fresh, lively citrus notes. On the palate, it reveals richness and depth without excess, striking a perfect balance with just the right concentration and a refined touch of bitterness on the finish. This is a remarkable bottle with the potential to age gracefully for 6 to 8 years. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Manual harvest, followed by a slow and gentle whole-cluster pressing. Sixty percent of the harvest is vinified in oak barrels that have held 3 to 4 wines, aging for 11 months, while the remaining 40% is aged in tanks. Alcoholic fermentation is temperature-controlled and lasts for 2 to 3 months.

Color:

Bright, clear golden yellow.

Nose:

Fresh and creamy, with lovely lemony and delicate vanilla notes.

Palate:

Rich and layered, with a bright, lively character, this well-balanced cuvée offers concentrated depth and a gentle hint of bitterness on the finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Scallop aumônières, sea bass stuffed with baby vegetables, foie gras au torchon, sweetbreads.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.
