Wine:

Rated 94/100 by our Selection Committee, the 2022 White Saint-Véran Terroirs de Davayé delivers a refined balance of freshness and tension. Its sleek, mineral-driven profile is enhanced by delicate notes of white flowers, zesty citrus, and ripe fruit flavours. Approachable yet structured, it’s equally suited to enjoying now or leaving to develop greater depth with time.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. A blend of juices from plots in the village of Davayé. Only first juices. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in barrels. Aged in barrels with little stirring.

Color:

Pale, bright golden yellow.

Nose:

Aromas of white flowers underscored by fresh citrus notes.

Palate:

Crisp and vibrant, this cuvée reveals a precise structure with a refined texture and a striking mineral finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Jambonnettes of frogs with parsley sauce, goujonnettes of snacked sole, fillets of sole or other fish meunière or beurre blanc, a warm pike soufflé.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030, and even longer for enthusiasts.

A trusted name in Burgundy, Verget is one of our most cherished producers, with whom we’ve built a strong, long-standing partnership. Together, we’ve even created exclusive, bespoke cuvées blended by Olivier Poussier, the Best Sommelier in the World, exclusively for our members.

Now expertly overseen by Julien Desplans, who has carried on the legacy of Jean-Marie Guffens since 2016, Verget continues to embody the very essence of Burgundy. Their whites are crisp, precise, and full of energy, while their reds are equally refined, offering beautifully expressive, fruit-forward charm.
