Pressing of whole bunches before transfer by gravity into French barrels (4% new). Regular bâtonnage (stirring of the lees), slow malolactic fermentation. Aged on the lees for 16 months in French oak barrels. No new wood. Unfined, unfiltered wine.

Biodynamic wine.

Thai-style sautéed prawns with lemongrass and ginger, scallop and lychee carpaccio, monkfish with lime, organic Munster cheese from the Ferme des Pensées Sauvages!

Cellar aging:

From today until 2032.

Highly sought after for its Pinot Noirs, Felton Road is without question one of New Zealand’s most prestigious estates today.

Tucked into the finest sites of Central Otago—a pioneering region for Pinot Noir, first planted back in 1864—the vineyard is farmed biodynamically under the guidance of Blair Walter, an experienced winemaker with a background spanning Australia, California, and Burgundy, and a strong belief in single-parcel vinification.

Central Otago is also the southernmost winegrowing region in the world, with an extreme climate—New Zealand’s coldest and driest—ideal for both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These unique conditions give rise to truly world-class wines, often compared to Burgundy, and regularly awarded top scores from Parker Wine Advocate.
