Wine:

Harvested from old vines planted on mica-schist soils at an altitude of 600 meters, and aged without new oak, the 2018 red Douro Redoma showcases a charming fruity character with hints of dried herbs, typical of the predominantly Tinta Amarela grape. Notes of red fruits and pepper follow, unfolding into a still youthful, light, and fresh profile, supported by a pleasant natural acidity and firm structure. The long, spicy finish masterfully balances precision and harmony. A true benchmark for Douro wines!

Vinification:

Manual harvest from high-altitude vineyards ranging between 150 and 500 meters, with vines over 70 years old. Vinification takes place in stainless steel lagares with a short maceration period, followed by malolactic fermentation and 22 months of aging in old wooden barrels. Bottling occurred in July 2020, with a total production of 31,000 bottles.
