Domaine de Trévallon - IGP Alpilles - Rouge - 2020

Wine:

Combining Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties on very stony limestone and clay soils, the 2020 Red Trévallon IGP Alpilles is an insolent wine that combines flavors of fruit with a lot of strength and depth in the palate, delivering a complex Mediterranean aromatic palette. Its finesse, elegance, and density always command respect. It is a wine with great aging potential, aged for more than two years in tuns and vinified in whole bunches.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinified in whole bunches without yeast or sulfur, aged for 24 months in tuns. Fining with fresh egg whites, no filtration for bottling.

Organic wine, certified.

Color:

Deep red, of beautiful intensity, with purple reflections.

Nose:

Flavors of red fruits, black olives and garrigue.

Palate:

Lively and elegant, this wine reveals a beautiful finesse of tannins. A wine that can be enjoyed young but that also has a good aging potential!

Temperature:

Decant before serving between 16 and 18°C.

Refined Saint Nectaire, roasted rack of lamb with rosemary.

Trévallon is a baroque wine with a colossal structure. Eloi Dürrbach had freed himself from the concept of an appellation, a framework that was too limiting to express the full potential of his terroir. The choice of grape varieties, the harvesting of grapes at very high maturity, the vinification methods, and the long maturation periods have made this wine a phenomenon that cannot be ignored.

The vineyard, which has been organically managed since its origins, is surrounded by a wild and preserved nature. It is a unique enclave, offering an extraordinary style of wine with a fabulous expression of finesse and energy.
