Wine:

Blending equal parts Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on rocky limestone and clay soils, the 2022 Red IGP Alpilles Trévallon emerges after more than two years of ageing in large oak vats. Despite the extreme drought of the vintage, it remains remarkably velvety, intense, and concentrated, with outstanding ageing potential. The rich fruit core is beautifully complemented by notes of garrigue, black pepper, and a touch of mint, all carried by a long, powerful finish and refined tannins. This is a wine built for the long haul, promising exceptional evolution over time.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinification of whole grapes without yeast or sulphur, aged for 24 months in casks. Fining with fresh egg white, no filtration before bottling.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Deep red, of beautiful intensity, with purple reflections.

Nose:

Fruity with flavours of garrigue, subtly peppery and mentholated.

Palate:

A wine with a concentrated, velvety, and intense texture, enhanced by flavorful tannins and beautifully expressive flavours.

Decant before serving at between 14 and 16°C.

From now until 2042

Awarded 3 stars by the French wine guide RVF, Trévallon is a truly singular wine, unmatched in character. Eloi Dürrbach broke free from the constraints of appellation rules, believing them too limiting to fully capture the true potential of his terroir. His bold choices—selecting specific grape varieties, harvesting at peak ripeness, employing long vinifications, and extended ageing—have turned Trévallon into a legendary wine phenomenon.

From its inception, the estate has been farmed organically, nestled in untamed, preserved nature on a limestone-rich terroir. This unique enclave produces wines of exceptional finesse and energy, offering a style that is as rare as it is remarkable.
