Wine:

Who would have thought that ten years on, this wine would still be so vibrant? The 2013 white Vin de France Gavroche defies all expectations and continues to impress. This blend of Vermentino and Chenin, enhanced with a touch of Muscat petits grains, commands respect with its intense mineral profile; it's almost reminiscent of a Rhine wine! The blend of grapes works wonderfully, bringing a smoky note that echoes Riesling. This fascinating 2013 vintage is lively, robust, and carries a distinct, sap-like bitterness. It's best served now with a dish like Viennese-style breaded veal. Rated 92/100 by our Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, destemmed and crushed. Vinified with indigenous yeasts and aged in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats on lees for a minimum of 9 months. No malolactic fermentation. Blending at bottling. Bottles cellared for 9 to 12 months before sale.

Certified organic wine.

Color:

Bright, luminous golden yellow.

Nose:

It's like a Rhine river wine, intensely smoky-mineral, the grape varieties merge, it's as if they were one, that little petroleum aroma almost reminiscent of a Riesling. Fascinating!

Palate:

Lively, with good strength and bitterness, this cuvée retains its tone and uprightness thanks to its natural acidity.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Breaded veal à la grenobloise or à la viennoise, poached free-range poultry stuffed with chanterelle mushrooms, monkfish curry, fried fish.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2025 and beyond for enthusiasts.
