Wine:

The 2021 Red Domaine des Tourettes Hermitage offers a stunning balance of maturity and freshness, showcasing floral elegance and depth. Aromas of violet, spices, peony, and rose are seamlessly interwoven, delivering exceptional harmony and precision. On the palate, it reveals a velvety, delicate style with concentrated yet refined textures, marked by a supple, generous character. This is a wine of true sophistication, best enjoyed in 3 to 4 years. Awarded 94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, terroir by terroir, at optimum ripeness on 3 plots: Grandes Vignes, Le Sabot, Les Bessards, vines aged between 20 and 90 years. 100% destemmed. Fermentation and maceration of the parcels separately, in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for around 3 weeks, with pumping over and punching of the cap during the first part of fermentation. Aged for 12 months in barrels, then 6 months in stainless steel vats.

Deep, brilliant, dark red.

Nose:

Beautiful floral notes of violet, peony and rose, mixed with spicy accents.

Palate:

Dense and refined, with perfectly ripened flavours, this cuvée offers a velvety, delicate texture balanced by refreshing acidity and a supple, concentrated profile of remarkable finesse.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Pâté en croûte, roast duck, rib of beef, navarin of lamb, roast pigeon, game.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2039.
