A synthesis of the purest expression of the wines produced in Vega Sicilia, the 2017 Red Ribera del Duero Valbuena 5 ano carries a spectacular balance around exquisitely fine, floral and smoky flavors like never before. It is a wine that outperforms this vintage affected by the April frost and a late dry season, displaying unprecedented harmony and delicacy. A magnificent Valbuena, consistent, precise and tasty, where the powerful aromas slip into a crazy delicate palate. An exceptional bottle! Rated 96/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged for 5 years. The first year, 75% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels and 25% in American oak barrels. The second year, the wine is aged in tuns, allowing the development of a more subtle and precise aromatic complexity as well as a homogeneity.

Nose:

Subtle and precise on beautiful aromas of black fruits accented by slightly smoky notes of mocha and a touch of black olive.

Palate:

Rich and harmonious, this wine reveals a concentrated palate of breathtaking precision.

Serve at 16 to 18°C.
