Wine:

The epitome of its grape variety, the 2018 white Alsace Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives delivers intense notes of rose and lychee, scents that abound like a great perfume. The rich frame, carried by a liqueur of great freshness, is straightforward, detailing notes of quince and candied fruit, with a hint of spice and honey. The acidic trail and the little pearl-like touch give vibrancy back to the wine, which possesses an incredible velvety quality. A great sweet wine to be savored on its own or to be associated with a marbled pastry. Rated 97/100 by the Committee.

Jean-Michel Deiss is the synthesis of what makes an exceptional winemaker. On his estate, which is entirely conducted in biodynamic agriculture, he sublimates the Alsatian terroirs and grape varieties through an extraordinary knowledge of each soil and vinification process.

At the top of the vineyard, now managed by his son Mathieu Deiss, this estate rated 4 stars by the French guide of the RVF, its highest award, embodies nothing less than the excellence of French viticulture. "Tasting its wines is always a magical moment" enthuses the Revue du Vin de France.
