Pessac by VALAP - Pessac-Léognan - Red - 2019

Wine:

With a primary aromatic profile at this stage, featuring hints of licorice and balsamic, the 2019 Red Pessac-Léognan offers a smooth, unadorned expression free from overt oak influence. Its rounded texture, precise fruit, and supple tannins make for a refined and approachable Pessac with moderate power. A perfect pairing for roasted poultry or thyme-crusted veal.

Vinification:

Mechanical harvesting. Vinification 100% in vats. No ageing.

Color:

Deep garnet red with brilliant reflections.

Nose:

With a primary aromatic profile, this cuvée reveals notes of licorice and balsamic, intertwined with hints of violet and red fruits.

Palate:

Round and smooth, it offers a vibrant texture with supple tannins, moderate power, and good persistence. Refined and inviting, it strikes a perfect balance of delicacy and approachability.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Roasted poultry, rack of veal with thyme, spicy lamb mouse.
