Wine:

Youthful and incredibly fresh, the 2021 Douro Passa Red showcases beautiful ripeness with notes of black cherry. The palate is firm, with dense, concentrated juice and fine tannins, creating a rich and fruity wine that is highly enjoyable. Best enjoyed over the next 6 to 8 years, slightly chilled. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Aged for 11 months in French oak barrels.

Color:

Dark carmine red.

Nose:

Ripe and fresh, with aromas of fresh black cherry.

Palate:

The palate is firm from the outset, with delicate tannins, dense juice and restrained, integrated ageing.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

As an aperitif, artisanal charcuterie, beef kebab and pickled bell pepper.
