The 2022 Red Bastardo is crafted from Trousseau, a rare grape variety typically found in France’s Jura region. Known for its finesse, this interpretation brings vibrant clarity, enhanced by a third whole-cluster fermentation and aging in small oak barrels, which amplify its freshness Bright red fruit notes, particularly cherry, take center stage, delivered in a refined, supple style with silky tannins. A thought-provoking wine that highlights the exciting potential of this region!

Vinification:

Hand-harvested. Vinification with indigenous yeasts, pre-fermentation maceration for 5 days with 30% whole grapes. Aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.

Bright red with violet highlights.

Nose:

Complex and delicate, the aromatic framework offers scents of small red berries, cherries and a spicy background.

Palate:

Rich and powerful, this cuvée offers a pure, concentrated profile with refined, silky tannins and vibrant, well-defined flavours.

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
