Wine:

The 2021 red Morgon Corcelette undoubtedly seduces with its ripe, fresh and juicy profile, framed by crisp tannins and beautiful density. Red and black fruit and delicate oak blend harmoniously, delivering a persistent wine with a powerful, refined structure. Good cellar aging is promised. Rated 93/100 by the committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Granite soil, 3 hillside plots in the Bellevue and Montillet districts, average vine age 75 years.
Vinification and blending by plot. Vinification over 2 to 3 weeks with partially destemmed grapes. Aged 10 to 12 months in demi-muids and barrels, then 1 month in vats.

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Aromas of red and black fruits mixed with fine woody notes.

Palate:

Fresh and juicy with ripe, crunchy fruit, this wine delivers, in great harmony, a persistent wine with a powerful, refined structure.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Artisanal charcuterie, sautéed prime rib, grilled beef onglet, grilled veal chop, oven-roasted guinea fowl.
