Wine:

The 2022 Santenay Vieilles Vignes Red comes from 0.71 hectares of vines planted in 1959 and aged for one year in barrels, with 20% new oak. This Pinot Noir strikes a perfect balance between richness and suppleness, offering an airy profile with expressive, well-rounded flavours—a true reflection of the quality of this fine vintage. A superb ambassador for Burgundy and the signature style of Bruno Colin.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. 100% de-stemmed. Vatting for a fortnight with minimum intervention. Aged for 12 months in 350-litre barrels, 15 to 20% of which are new, then 4 to 6 months in vats before bottling.
The vines cover 0.71 hectares at Les Prarons-Dessus (below Clos Tavannes), planted in 1959, and grown organically (without certification).
