Wine:

The 2021 red Beaune 1er Cru Les Chouacheux is a substantial and serious wine, with notes of cherry pit and dark fruits. Ripe and sap-filled, it provides a rich, velvety texture that should mellow out fairly quickly. A full-bodied and fleshy wine, endowed with great freshness, it is advisable to cellar it for another one to two years before enjoying. Rated 93/100 by RVF.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, totally de-stemmed, alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts.
Aged in 500-liter oak barrels, of which 20 to 25% are new.

Bright, intense red.

Nose:

Aromas of black fruit and cherry pit.

Palate:

Fresh and rich at the same time, with full-bodied fruit, this cuvée offers deep juice, beautiful maturity and great complexity.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.
