Wine:

Sourced from 10 perfectly balanced terroirs, the 2021 Vosne-Romanée Red reveals delicate aromas of Burlat cherry, with lively, juicy flavors that are both precise and pure. Its texture is smooth and sapid, displaying the grace and finesse often associated with Chambolle. Silky tannins and a hint of pepper on the finish bring freshness and energy, rounding out a beautifully crafted wine. Rated 93-94/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Harvested by hand with 100% destemming, the winemaking process follows a meticulous approach. A cold pre-fermentation maceration in stainless steel tanks lasts around 6 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation driven solely by indigenous yeasts. Daily pump-overs are carried out, with temperature and density closely monitored. Punch-downs are minimal and adjusted according to the vintage's specific needs. The total maceration period averages 20 days.

Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels, with aging conducted over 15 months. The barrels are composed of 30% new oak, with the remainder being first-, second-, and third-fill barrels. After aging, the wine is racked and blended in stainless steel tanks for 2 months. It is bottled without fining or filtration to preserve purity and texture.
The vineyard covers 2.77 hectares across 10 distinct terroirs within the Vosne-Romanée appellation, with vines aged 50 years and older, a key factor in the wine’s depth and character.
