Wine:

Ideally located at the southern edge of the Pommard appellation, bordering Volnay, the Red 2021 Pommard Premier Cru Les Jarollières is already showing beautifully, though it still has excellent aging potential due to the natural freshness characteristic of this vintage. With ripe, fresh fruit and a refined structure, it offers a classic Pommard style—more delicate than powerful. Though still youthful, this vintage holds great promise for further development, maturing into perfect harmony over time. An excellent choice for lovers of fine Burgundy wines, this is a small production, limited to fewer than 5,000 bottles per year.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Aged 18 months on fine lees in oak barrels, 30% of which are new.

Certified organic and biodynamic.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16° C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Duck tournedos with grapes, sweetbreads with black truffles, Maine farm-raised prime rib with coarse salt, roast veal, aged farmhouse Saint-Nectaire cheese.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2038, and even longer for enthusiasts.

La Pousse d'Or is a remarkable estate, solidly established in Volnay and run by the Landanger family, which explores all the facets of Burgundy's sophistication. Its magnificent heritage of vines - 7 Grands Crus, 3 Monopoles, and 11 Premiers Crus - allows it to influence the entire Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.

Biodynamic work, gentle vinification, and careful maturation on lees in barrels are the prerequisites for this success which are embodied in wines with evocative names, from Chambolle-Musigny to Pommard, including Volnay, of course, Puligny-Montrachet, Bonnes-Mares, Corton, Échezeaux or Morey-Saint-Denis.

With the highest standards, this prized address chisels goldsmith's wines supported by luxurious maturation that allows them to age for a long time.
