Pierre Girardin - Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru - Les Chaumes - Red - 2022

Wine:

Vinified with whole clusters and aged for nearly a year in new barrels, the 2022 red Vrosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes exudes superb finesse. With its polished structure and subtle minty accent, it promises an impressive aging potential of at least 10 to 20 years.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Whole grapes vinified. Aged for 11 months in 100% new oak barrels and 3 months in stainless steel vats. No fining or filtration.

Color:

An intense, brilliant red with vermilion highlights.

Nose:

Aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant mixed with floral notes.

Palate:

Elegant, refined, and delicately structured, this cuvée reveals precise, graceful notes of blackcurrant and blackberry, with a hint of mint and silky tannins—a Burgundy built to age beautifully.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Rack of veal with chanterelle mushrooms, rib of beef with Choron sauce, hind leg.

From now until 2042 and beyond
