Wine:

The 2022 Red Givry Champ Lalot is an elegant expression of ripe Pinot Noir, with warm, fruity notes and a subtle oak influence that will soften with time. The palate is full and generous, balanced by fine tannins, making it a great choice to enjoy now or to cellar for 5 years or more.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, the proportion of de-stemming and whole grapes varies according to the vintage. Alcoholic fermentation for 15 to 19 days in stainless steel vats, with 2 daily punchings of the cap. Malolactic fermentation and ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels, 10% of which are new.

An intense vermilion red.

Nose:

Delicate notes of ripe red fruit, complemented by oak tones that will soften with time.

Palate:

Precise and elegant, this Givry delivers a full-bodied profile with polished tannins and a harmonious balance of fruit and oak.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Traditional charcuterie, roast poultry, rack of veal with sage, grilled flank steak, matured farmhouse Saint-Nectaire cheese.

From now until 2029, and even longer for enthusiasts.
