Dalla Valle Vineyards, a Napa Valley up-and-comer with iconic status, was founded in 1982 by Naoko and Gustav Dalla Valle with a single idea in mind: to forge great wines of finesse worthy of the highest Bordeaux and international standards, with an upright organic approach. This virgin land was planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, taking into account the influence of the Pacific Ocean and the absolutely amazing volcanic and stony soils. Dalla Valle demonstrated the potential of these high-altitude Cabernets, planted at over 400 meters, to define both style and potential. Today, under the guidance of Bordeaux's Michel Rolland, the estate produces a number of different wines, including Maya, a special cuvée produced in very small quantities that has been praised by Robert Parker every vintage for the past 30 years.
This winery is one of California's great wineries, and one of the world's great wineries.
