Wine:

Predominantly Marsanne and elegantly aged, the 2021 white Hermitage Nobles Rives boasts pure and fresh aromas, framed by discreet and skillfully measured noble oak. The palate presents an honest expression of the Hermitage terroir, with new oak seamlessly integrated into the wine's texture. The result is a balanced, elegant, and smooth wine of high distinction. With real aging potential, this wine will maintain its freshness and elegance over time. Rated 95/100 by the Committee.

Vinification:

Hand-harvested, gently pressed. Cold settling for 24 to 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation in vats at 18 & 20°C for part of the wine, and in barrels for another part, with racking during fermentation. Malolactic fermentation in wood for 90% of the volume.
Maturation in stainless steel tanks for part of the wine, then in 400L barrels for the remainder (25% new, 25% 1-wine and 25% 2-wine) on fine lees for 8 months.
Regular stirring of the lees.

Nose:

Pure and fresh, with discreet aromas and elegant oak.

Palate:

Suave and elegant, this cuvée has a fresh profile, releasing a suave juice with good ageing potential.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aumonières of scallops, Brillat-Savarin with truffles, veal blanquette.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2030.
