Wine:

With finesse and sobriety, the 2021 red Châteauneuf-du-Pape displays exceptional elegance and delightful definition, featuring precise, well-ripened fruit and a delicate, harmonious texture that distinguishes it from richer vintages. Dominated by Grenache, it offers abundant floral and spicy notes, a velvety mouthfeel, and well-integrated tannins. Everything is expertly managed, exuding freshness and indulgence. It can be enjoyed immediately and will continue to shine for the next decade. Rated 93/100 by RVF.

Vinification:

Hand harvested and sorted on the vine. 80% de-stemming, 21 to 28-day maceration with daily manual punching of the cap. Aged for 12 months, 80% in foudres and 20% in barrels, 1/3 of which are new.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Grilled and stewed meats, leg of lamb with herbs, beef stew.

From now until 2033.
