Wine:

The undisputed success of the appellation and of the vintage, the 2020 red L'Ermite Ermitage, is impressive in its concentration and fullness. Its deep notes of blackcurrant and black fruit, its richness and power make up a wine that is still restrained, with great promise for longevity. The long and vibrant, very silky finish can only augur the best. A great wine of patience and time, which will find its fulfillment over two decades. Rated 98+/100 by Parker.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, 100% de-stemmed and vinified in concrete tanks, aged in oak barrels of which 20% are new, 20% in one-wine barrels, 20% in two-wine barrels and the balance in concrete tanks.

Organic and Biodynamic wine, certified by Demeter.

Intense and deep red.

Nose:

Aromas of blackcurrant and black fruits.

Palate:

Rich and powerful, this wine of full concentration releases a palate with a rich texture and a long and silky finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Duck breast with honey and balsamic vinegar, duck parmentier with fois gras, tagliatelle with truffles.

From now until 2040.
