Wine:

From 70- to 85-year-old vines, the 2020 Red Châteauneuf-du-Pape Bargeton by Patrick Lesec delivers depth, intensity, and classic Grenache character. Aromas of ripe stone fruit, sugared strawberries, and cherry compote are layered with warmer notes of cocoa, creating a bold and expressive nose. The palate is broad and concentrated, with velvety tannins and fresh acidity providing balance and structure. A restrained approach to aging allows the purity of the fruit to shine, resulting in a wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for another decade or more. Vinification:

Hand harvested, 100% whole grapes. Maceration for approximately 20 days. Aged 90% in concrete vats and 10% in Burgundy barrels.

Bewitching aromas of pit fruits, strawberries with sugar, compote of Morello cherry, underlined by notes of cocoa, a ripe, generous profile.

Palate:

The palate is full and generous, with velvety, supple tannins that already impress with their maturity and depth. Its subtle aging allows it to be enjoyed right now.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.
