Wine:

Carved out of the clay-limestone terroir in the southern part of the appellation, the 2021 white Saint-Joseph Nobles Rives is a pure, elegant white, dominated by marsanne. Beautiful complexity and freshness are expressed through very elegant floral notes, with a delicate touch of wood. The delicate palate, perfectly ripe and fresh, retains a beautiful natural tension and offers a lovely persistence of flavor, with delicate bitters. A white to be reserved for the table. Rated 93/100 by the Comité.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Alcoholic fermentation partly in vats at 18°C and partly in barrels. Aged 40% in new 400-liter barrels and the rest in vats on fine lees for around 9 months.

Color:

Bright, light golden yellow.

Nose:

Pure and intense, with delicate floral aromas underlined by a fine woody note.

Palate:

Elegant, ripe and fresh, this aromatic complexity underlines its natural tension. On the palate, delicate bitters and a masterful touch of wood come together on a lingering finish.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Aperitif, egg scramble with Alba white truffle, sea bass with fennel, small fry, fresh cheeses.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2026 and beyond for enthusiasts.
