The flagship of the estate, the 2022 Red Côte-Rôtie Chavaroche is a benchmark cuvée built for long ageing. In this vintage, it reveals restrained notes of ripe black fruit and liquorice, still firm from its élevage but already showing impressive depth. The graphite-like character adds elegance, while the tightly woven tannins promise great evolution in the cellar. A truly remarkable wine with outstanding ageing potential. The Selection Committee’s favourite, rated 95/100.Vinification:
Hand harvested. 70% de-stemming. Maceration for 21 days in temperature-controlled vats, with regular pumping over and punching of the cap. Aged for 22 months in 300-litre French oak barrels, 20% of which are new. Light filtration before bottling.Locality: Chavaroche. Vines planted in 1984. Soil: Micaschists.
