The 2022 Red Côte-Rôtie La Landonne comes from the estate’s prized 2-hectare holding in the exceptional northern terroir of the appellation—a rarity in itself. A true long-distance runner, this wine reveals its full potential only with time. For now, its aromas of black fruits, smoke, and violet emerge within a deep, firm, and powerful framework. Its finely honed structure and elegant tannins promise a remarkable evolution with patience.Vinification:
Vines with an average age of 40 years on a soil composed of schistose sands marked by iron oxide and a higher clay content, in the locality known as ‘La Landonne’.Harvested by hand. Whole bunch vinification, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, long maceration of around 4 weeks. Aged for 24 months in 228-litre Burgundy barrels and 600-litre demi-muids, with very little new wood. Bottled on the estate after light fining and filtration.
